In the early hours before sunrise on Sunday, Joseph J. Vehnick searched desperately for a telephone to alert authorities that the powerboat he’d been on had crashed against a concrete abutment and sank in the Hudson River.

The fence do much. First of all, there is not a fence everywhere, only roughly half of the border has any fence. It is not difficult to scale, especially by those who are determined to do so.

Nice blog about the Hudson River. Thomas Cole was born in England but moved to the United States as a youth.
