BB King plays live guitar solo. This came from the extras on the DVD The Road to Memphis: www.pbs.org And the only other complete performance by BB on the extras is Key to the Highway, which doesn’t have this incredibly searing guitar and is in fact pretty “lite”. @UnderGun81 I am a fan of Mark Knopfler too, and he's technically better than BB King but you must know that knopfler is no longer a blues man like BB King. We can't compare them ^^

What about the need of the father to find someone to accept him for himself instead of his wealth?? The whole movie was about acceptance, Acceptance from Maria about the fact that she may not be cut out for the convent, Acceptance from the captain that the woman that he wants to marry is interested in him for his money. The mutual need of everyone in the movie to be loved and the need to be strong enough to stand up for your beliefs no matter how hard that is.
