A Clipper is a long sailing ship that was used in the 19th century. San Diego at the time and still is a very port city. It was also the hot spot where Clipper ships from South America would come in during the famous 1849 Gold rush.
I only clicked cuz i thought it was a clipper to hold my crack baggies and spoon. nevermind.

Good point, Farzad. It might make an interesting research project to look at how the concept of has changed over time, and to compare the performances of teams with the way they behave on the The Detroit Pistons used to perform very well as a team–but I think not so true today. Chauncey Billups is with Denver now; anyone know how the Nuggets are doing?
