ZODIAC N BLACK
You know what it's like when you hear an unknown band for the first time, and they impress you? The first thought is, ‘Hang on, can they really be as good as I thought? Let’s play it again’. And the second time, the music still sounds strong. Well, meet Zodiac N Black, a young London band who’ve already displayed enough verve, vivacity and sheer musical depth to suggest they are in a with a real shout at making the right noises at the highest levels. They’ve got influences – Led Zeppelin, Queens Of The Stone Age, Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, Free – but to these are added a grittier, more modern approach. One that does bring to mind the power, passion and predilection of a young Rage Against the Machine or Them Crooked Vultures.

October Sky
Hailing from Canada and having toured Europe extensively, the enigmatic October Sky alternate between frenzied rock and ambient alternative. The boys are back in town and heading to the AAA for their second appearance at Discovery 2. They are currently receiving airplay on Total Rock, Recharged , NME, and ALLFM.
“Yet another hot undiscovered Canadian machine arising from the steam……All ten of these numbers are melodic and dripping in atmosphere you can actually feel yourself standing in.” Metalville Mag (UK)
“Listen up folks, because I have just found a band who are truly going to make tsunami style waves in 2011. Who are October Sky? The same question I asked myself before listening to their album and one that they silenced with their phenomenal music.” Sonicshocks mag (UK)

BILLY VINCENT
So what makes for a great band in 2011? Great songs, certainly. Singular looks and a gang mentality? That’ll do nicely. But beyond that, you still need the indefinable quality, which tells you a group isn’t just this year’s model. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s about time you met Billy Vincent. Having weathered all the usual band-related upheavals, Billy Vincent settled upon their current line up in early 2010. Their ferociously tuneful sound and the kinetic stage chemistry between Bill and David has won them converts everywhere from the Scottish Highlands to deepest Cornwall.
Billy Vincent will be performing songs from their 2nd EP, ‘Once On The Grand Union’ released by Something Nothing Records on October 17th . Their sound is dubbed by the band as Dirty , Folk Rock!

THEO ALTIERI
Swindon teenager – with influences ranging from The Jam through to Arctic Monkeys and the XX – writes, records and plays everything on his self-produced tracks which have gained him fans online and through live shows. A charismatic and technically impressive guitarist Theo has supported Babyshambles, Julian Velard& Paul Carrack. He opened the main stage at Wychwood Festival in 2010 and has played a string of festivals this summer including Live Fest at the O2. His song “Hanging on a Hook” topped amazing radio’s unsigned chart in February. Influential music blog Pigeons & Planes described his sound as having "a Kings of Leon kind of feel to it, but much more intimate, raw, and British."

Sweden, the Netherlands, and even Scotland TRIED to colonize, but were unsuccessful. Well, the Dutch kept Dutch Guiana, and still have Aruba. Meanwhile, Russia took Alaska.
Anyway, the Big Four were probably the only that COULD colonize. They had navies, money and power. Sweden was more focused on power in Europe. Germany and Italy were a bunch of little kingdoms, none really with the power or money to set up colonies.

It was a nice, quick read with a lil enjoyable comedy.
I also preferred female main character over Moe female main character.
