Though I could never read this ever again, nor watch the movie it is now inspirational. I cried, I hated all the horrible stuff they went through and don’t think anyone under 16 should read this book, but viewing this video of Jeannette and her mom was very sweet and precious!
Coming from Mom’s Thumb Reviews
I just read this in English class! my favorite book. Once I had my eye on the first page, I just couldn’t put it down! If I could meet Jeannette, I would ask her so many questions. Where are Brian, and Lori, and Maureen? Does she still talk to Maureen? I loved the book so much and I was sad when it ended. How is her scar from when she got burned, does she have any pictures of her childhood. Whatever happened to Dinitia? So many questions but I can never get any answers.
I have a cousin who is the same, high functioning, I understand what you are saying and I agree!
Jeannette Wall’s mother is indeed a talented artist. I wonder if Rosemary Wells is on the autistic spectrum. I don’t say that to insult her at all. I, myself, am high functioning autistic.
