Los Lobos, the beloved Grammy®-winning band from East L.A., have announced their first annual music festival to be held in their hometown of Los Angeles at the iconic Greek Theatre on May 5, 2012. The 1st Annual Los Lobos Cinco de Mayo Festival will feature performances by preeminent LA bands Los Lobos, X and Mariachi El Bronx, with special guests Neko Case and Alejandro Escovedo joining Los Lobos on stage. The festival was born out of a desire to have a branded event for the community-conscious band to celebrate food, culture and music in their hometown. It promises to be an unforgettable night, taking place during the opening week of the Greek Theatreandrsquo;s new season.

Yes!!! I remember working at a record store around 1989 or so when I first heard Hollywood Town Hall and I was hooked!! I finally got to see them at the old Gypsy Tea Room with Alejandro Escovedo and those were TWO amazing shows!! Louris came out and played a cover of “I Wanna Be Your Dog” with Alejandro. I love the song Wichita and All the Right Reasons.
