It's good that Politicians stick to their principles because if they then our elected officials would be wishy-washy people who governed by poll numbers. That would mean that the congress (who answers to the public every 2 years) and the senate (which serves for 6 years) would be stuck in gridlock and issues get solved.
Then again, the politicians who stick to their principles who are usually opposed to compromising, which help us people that much…
