In a perfect world, Chuck Berry. But that have happened even w/o Elvis due to skin color.
Therefore, Buddy or Jerry Lee. Johnny was never really a rock & roller. He was always a folk/country singer.
Amazing !
Pure & perfect n roll as usual, the refreshments are definitely second to none !
I knew Johan was one of the best piano players on the planet, m glad to see
he can also sing perfectly.
Thank you guys, keep on !!!!!!!
Hi Jack,
If you look at the songs by the you are mentioning (the Million Dollar CD) you will see beautiful hymns such as:
When God Dips His Love In My
Just A Little Talk With Jesus
Jesus Walked That Lonesome Valley
I Shall Not Be Moved
Peace In The Valley
Down By The Riverside
Blessed Jesus (Hold My Hand)
As We Travel Along On The Jericho Road
You might not know this, but Johnny Cash came back very strong to the Lord in his latter years and recorded many beautiful gospel Carl Perkins also came back to his Christian faith and was living as a disciple of Jesus in his later years as well. They both had strong roots in the church and as Christians.
I think I am obsessed with non-christian music, I just happen to love the early to late music. nothing different than people liking The athletes may not all be church going godly people, but you can appreciate their skill and abilities.
We use “rockabilly bells and whistles” as you put it in our church. We play a mix of contemporary worship songs and hymns. In our earlier Sunday morning gathering (we have three of them) it is mainly hymns we sing.

some great stuff in that last paragraph. my favorite line is “your dare to hope that one day be happy to be small and unimpressive and finally feel of relating without pretense…” reminds me of some different but related thoughts I had on a road trip recently, listening to Sam Phillips latest CD…”I, I love you, when useless, when you do anything…”. wondering if that kind of unconditional love is even possible between two human beings. in my better days I hope it is, and think maybe seen something of it in at least one couple I know…but mostly I have to admit that at this point in my life rather cynical – perhaps just in my own ability to recognize it or tell the difference between the mask and the real deal, thinking the one was the other and realizing I still learned a thing yet…
