I’m looking to spend my Sunday mornings helping abused or neglected children but it has to be in Queens NY. I tried searching the web but to no avail. Please help. Thanks.

Much of this will NOT be on the web. This kind of work is often done by people who don’t spend hours on the web.

Maybe they need you to help them put the info on the web sites.

I would go with a friend or family member, during the day or weekend, and scope out churches and places in the neighbourhoods. Astoria is one Queens community, I am personally acquainted with, which needs people like you who care.

Also, look in the White and Yellow pages. Call up your precinct committee person and ask him or her for ideas. Ask your reference librarian.
